My Bio

Margaret is a board-certified medical illustrator who specializes in biological and surgical illustrations.  She is a native Utahn who earned a Bachelor's in Biology from the University of Oregon with minors in chemistry and art history.  She then earned a Master’s in Medical Illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2020, completing a capstone educational video project about Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy for young patients.

Margaret recently completed her Master's of Business Administration from Utah State University in 2022.

 

She currently works as the Chief Financial Officer for Cache Environmental Laboratories in Utah while building her career as a freelance medical illustrator.  Margaret aims to improve the relations between medical professionals and patients, especially patients from low-income, minority, and immigrant families.

 

Besides medical illustration, Margaret works in traditional and digital art.  Her works include landscape paintings, still life drawings, and children's book illustrations.
